About Deaerator & Feed Water System
Gyantosh's Deaerator & Feed Water Systems remove dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide from boiler feed water and deliver it to the boiler at the right temperature, pressure, and flow. Dissolved gases — especially oxygen — are a primary cause of pitting corrosion in boilers, feed lines, and economisers; effective deaeration is essential to protect the boiler and extend its life.
A pressurised or atmospheric deaerator heats feed water to near saturation using pegging steam and mechanically scrubs out dissolved gases, typically reducing oxygen to very low levels (often below 0.005–0.02 mg/l depending on type). The heated, deaerated water is stored in an integral tank that also provides feed water reserve for stable boiler operation.
The complete system includes the deaerator head and storage tank, boiler feed pumps, level and pressure controls, chemical dosing (oxygen scavenger) tie-in, and instrumentation — engineered around your boiler capacity and feed water demand. Spray-type and spray-cum-tray designs are offered.
GyanTosh supplies, installs, and services deaerators and feed water systems as part of complete balance-of-plant and boiler-house solutions, backed by over two decades of engineering experience.

Deaerator & Feed Water System Specification
Deaeration Technology
Feed water is heated to near saturation using pegging steam, sharply reducing the solubility of oxygen and CO₂ so they release from the water.
Water is sprayed into a steam atmosphere and (in tray designs) cascaded over trays, mechanically scrubbing residual gases to very low oxygen levels.
The storage tank holds heated, deaerated water as a feed reserve, buffering the boiler against demand swings and pump requirements.
An oxygen-scavenger dosing tie-in removes the last traces of oxygen for complete corrosion protection of the boiler circuit.

Advantages of a Deaerator & Feed Water System
Removing dissolved oxygen protects the boiler, economiser, and feed lines from pitting corrosion — one of the leading causes of premature boiler failure.
Preheating feed water toward saturation reduces the fuel the boiler must add, improving overall thermal efficiency.
The integral storage tank buffers demand swings and ensures a steady, reliable feed to the boiler.
Effective mechanical deaeration reduces the oxygen-scavenger chemical dose needed for full protection.
Deaerator type and pump selection are matched to your boiler capacity, pressure, and feed demand.
Supplied within a complete balance-of-plant package alongside water treatment and dosing systems.
