Boiler Installation and Commissioning

Turnkey project execution from site to start-up

GyanTosh provides end-to-end installation and commissioning for steam boilers, thermic fluid heaters, and balance of plant systems. Our teams manage site preparation, mechanical installation, utility integration, and start-up assistance to ensure your heating system performs from day one. Boiler commissioning services cover hydraulic testing, refractory dry-out and boil-out, burner and combustion setting, safety valve floating, interlock proving and trial operation under load — finishing when your operators are running the plant to specification, not when the equipment is energised. Scope covers industrial boiler installation from foundation upward: mechanical boiler erection, pressure-part assembly, piping and utility tie-ins, refractory and insulation. Steam boiler installation is the common case, but the same team handles thermic fluid heaters, hot water generators and the balance of plant around them.

Frequently Asked Questions(3)

How long does boiler installation and commissioning take?
It depends far more on site readiness than on the boiler. Foundations, the fuel and ash route, water supply, electrical supply and the chimney all have to be in place before erection starts, and where they are not is where schedules slip. A packaged boiler arrives shop-assembled and cuts site time substantially; a field-erected unit does not.
Does GyanTosh handle IBR inspection during commissioning?
Yes. Where the boiler falls within IBR scope, the drawings, material certification and inspection stages are handled as part of the scope, and the unit is handed over with its certification complete. That sequence is set at design, not arranged afterwards.
What is included in commissioning?
Hydraulic testing, refractory dry-out and boil-out, burner or combustion setting, safety valve setting and floating, controls and interlock proving, trial operation under load, and operator handover. Commissioning is finished when the plant runs to specification with your people operating it, not when the equipment is energised.
