What information should I include in an enquiry?
Four things get you a meaningful answer fastest: the fuel you can reliably source and its analysis, the steam flow and pressure your process needs, whether the load is steady or cyclic, and your location. Without the fuel analysis most of the specification is guesswork, so send it if you have it.
Can I get a budgetary figure before finalising the specification?
Yes. An indicative figure against an outline duty is normal at the planning stage, and it is understood to be indicative. What it cannot be is a firm price — capacity, pressure, fuel and statutory scope all move the number, and quoting firm before those are settled helps nobody.
Do you visit the site before quoting?
For retrofit, revamp and AMC work, usually yes — the existing plant has to be seen before anyone can say honestly what it needs. For new equipment a site visit typically follows the technical discussion rather than preceding it.
Can GyanTosh service equipment made by another manufacturer?
Yes. AMC, spare parts, retrofit and plant audits are all taken on other manufacturers' boilers and heaters. An audit is usually the sensible first step, to establish the plant's condition before any contract is agreed.
