Work it out for your plant
We do not yet publish consumption benchmarks for this sector, so start from your heat load or a steam figure you already know — the calculators take either.
Boiler Capacity Calculator
How much boiler do I actually need?
Steam Cost Calculator
What does a tonne of steam cost me?
Condensate Recovery Calculator
How much am I pouring down the drain?
Steam Pipe Sizing Calculator
What size main do I need, and will it get there?
Or read the background in the Knowledge Hub, which covers boiler operations, steam distribution, condensate management and the regulatory position.
Already running a plant? Our lifecycle services cover installation and commissioning, boiler AMC, retrofits, plant audits, spare parts and operator training — on equipment from any manufacturer.
Frequently Asked Questions(2)
What heating and utility equipment does a metals plant need?
Process heating for pickling, degreasing and drying, plus significant emission control on any fired or dust-generating process. Waste heat recovery is often available where furnace exhausts are hot and continuous, and is usually the first thing worth evaluating.
What dust collection suits a mining or metals operation?
Cyclones for coarse, heavy dust as a first stage, then bag filters or an electrostatic precipitator for the fine fraction to reach the consent limit. Gas temperature, moisture and abrasiveness decide the combination — abrasive dust in particular changes the material specification.
