Work it out for your plant

We do not yet publish consumption benchmarks for this sector, so start from your heat load or a steam figure you already know — the calculators take either.

Or read the background in the Knowledge Hub, which covers boiler operations, steam distribution, condensate management and the regulatory position.

Already running a plant? Our lifecycle services cover installation and commissioning, boiler AMC, retrofits, plant audits, spare parts and operator training — on equipment from any manufacturer.

Frequently Asked Questions(2)

What heating is used for rubber vulcanisation?
Either steam directly into the press platens or a thermic fluid circuit, depending on the temperature and uniformity the compound needs. Thermic fluid is chosen where the process wants steady high temperature without the pressure that the equivalent steam temperature would require.
What temperature does rubber processing need?
Most vulcanisation runs well below the ceiling of a thermic fluid system, which is why the closed loop is common — it delivers the temperature at near-atmospheric pressure. Send the platen temperature and cycle time and the heater is sized from the heat load, not the temperature alone.
